With a centre zigzag taper, the stitch remains central when using the zigzag foot so that appliquéing has a greater aesthetic appeal due to its look when tapering in or out from a point.
The programmable up/down needle means you can have the needle stop where you wish, so you can remove fabrics without fear of tears, or easily pivot for appliqués, and quilting.

Programmable Needle Up/Down
The needle can be programmed to stop in the highest-up position when your foot is lifted from the controller, making it easier for removing the fabric from the machine. Or program the needle to stop in the down position, which is ideal for pivoting, appliqué or quilting. -
Thread Cutter

Automatic Bobbin Winding Declutching

The amount of pressure exerted on the fabric by the presser foot against the feed dogs is adjusted automatically. Sew from the lightest weight tricots to the heaviest denim, without making presser foot pressure adjustments. -

7-Segment Feeding System
This is a specially designed feed dog that ensures that the fabric is picked up and supported from the front of the presser foot to the rear. This provides for much more accurate feeding of the fabric. -
